This year, the MMS orchestra will be using software called SmartMusic. This program guides, accompanies, and evaluates students when they practice at home. Please take a moment to watch this quick video for an introduction to the program. I will be sending home more information soon.

I’ve had so much fun with you all this year. I hope you find an opportunity to play some music over the summer. Good luck to all of our 8th graders at DHS next year. Come visit us sometime.

CONCERT EVALUATION ASSIGNMENT – Due 5/29:
Click on “leave a comment” below, and write a 5 sentence paragraph about our performance. Be sure to use musical terminology and give specific details about what we did well and what could have been improved.
In order to prepare for our concert on May 14th, we will hold a few MANDATORY morning rehearsals. These will start at 7:45 and run through homeroom. Please come early if you can. The more people who are arrive early, the more we’ll be able to accomplish.

Permission Slips and checks for the 6 Flags trip are due by Monday, March 30.
